Make a QR code people can actually scan
A QR code stores the exact text you enter. For a website, include the complete address beginning with https://. The code does not redirect through this site, and the image is created in your browser after the QR library loads.
Choose enough size and contrast
Use dark modules on a light background and leave a clear margin around the square. A code that looks large on screen may print very small, so test the final physical version. Longer text creates a denser pattern and usually needs more space.
Test the destination
Scan the code with at least two phones before printing or publishing it. Confirm that the displayed destination is correct, uses HTTPS, and opens without requiring a login the audience does not have. A QR image cannot be edited after it is generated; changing the destination means creating a new code.
Privacy and permanence
Do not place passwords, private account numbers, or secret links directly in a public QR code. Anyone with a camera can read it. Save the downloaded PNG with a clear name and keep the source text in your project notes.
